Math: Invictor CRA


Math: Dawnguard Invictor CRA

Knowing when to CRA and how many warriors need to participate is the best way to get the most potential from a CRA unit. Since I am making the ‘Winters Hammer’ task force, and I love the Invictors, I decided to pit them against several common enemies and see what the math says about CRAs.

*I am assuming average rolls and am not factoring in an aiming bonus. The amount of kills and damage reflects a 10 man unit.

A (+) by the amount of shots means that there are left over unit members that can make single shots or smaller CRAs. If the chance to kill or do damage is over 50%, I put an adjusted number of kills/damage in brackets in the last column.

Of course these numbers work with any CRA unit with a RAT of 6 and a Pow of 12. I encourage everybody to do similar math for their favorite units.

CRA vs Straight Defense
Infantry like Kayazy and Gun Mages are dead as long as they get hit. This chart gives a percentage to hit those fragile types of infantry with a RAT of 6.

Doing this math shows me that Invictors probably shouldn't be matched up against champs!

This is a tough choice here.

While five 2-man shots does the most damage, two 5-man shots would knock out 2 columns, and 1 10-man shot would do the same.

Two 5-man shots gives you two dice throws that would produce a better average of damage, but the potential to knock out 2 columns lies with a full 10 man CRA.
